Foreign Policy, a leading international magazine, published an article on the five ways women made a difference in 2023. This article highlights the revolutionary work of women in Ukraine, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Middle East who continued to advance gender equality. Despite severe challenges to their well-being, they made sacrifices to give a voice to women.
However, Foreign Policy missed the sixth way women made a difference in 2023: Girls Across Borders (GAB). This organization connects girls globally to foster positive change and social impact. GAB creates a platform for girls - aged between 13 and 18 years - to engage in critical thinking and discussions on issues that concern their place in society. We believe that by unifying girls’ voices, we can claim our place in the world and break down barriers.
